About
Podere Sala is a homestead in the making, located just 20 minutes south of Florence in a restored farmhouse. Set on half a hectare of land, surrounded by forests and vineyards, we’re learning how to cultivate, preserve, and tend to our corner of the earth. Every day is an opportunity to learn and grow as we take small steps toward a more intentional, joyful way of living. Life here is about celebrating and fostering collective well-being—through the way we live and connect with one another, embracing community, simplicity, sustainability, and shared purpose.
We’re Michela, who grew up in this house, and Waverly—two people tending this place with care, creating something meaningful together.

Volunteer
This season we are only taking on a few volutneers in the Spring to help us prepare our garden for the year. We hope to offer more volunteering opportunities in the future.

Private Cooking Classes
Every other day, we open our kitchen for private cooking classes. You’ll start with a glass of local natural wine, then learn to prepare a few Tuscan classics—fresh pasta, seasonal contorni, and a traditional dessert. It’s a relaxed, hands-on experience, ending with a shared meal around the table, coffee, and a little digestivo to finish.
